Can experience or earlier units help you start?

Ask what is recognised, what remains and what it will cost.

Informal team-leading experience may provide relevant learning for RPL, but an assessor needs suitable evidence against the units. Formal study records support a separate credit-transfer process. Ask which route applies to the evidence you have.

What should your enquiry include?

Obtain permission before sharing confidential work records. Ask for the recognition decision and any gap plan in writing. A useful plan explains what still needs to be demonstrated; it does not promise an award before evidence is assessed.

How can you make your prior learning clear?

Start with the provider’s five core and seven elective codes. For credit transfer, supply formal unit results. For RPL, explain your own contribution to tasks and ask which permitted evidence is useful. Helping a team can be relevant learning, but a job title or shared document does not prove every required skill.

What should a remaining-study plan show?

Ask which units are recognised, what evidence is missing and which gaps need training or assessment. Request the remaining timetable, recognition charges and any gap-training costs in writing. Do not assume an older award or informal experience guarantees full credit, a fixed saving or a fast finish.
