What changed in release 4?
Four cyber-security-awareness electives were added to Group B.
What does this mean for a new leader?
Release 4 added four cyber-security-awareness electives to Group B: BSBXCS406, BSBXCS407, BSBXCS408 and BSBXCS409. They did not become compulsory core units. The release change expands options without making every course a cyber-security program.
How can you prepare or compare?
Ask whether any of these units are selected and why they fit the provider’s package. Keep their role as electives clear, and do not infer a separate specialist certification. A current release number alone does not show which optional units you will take.
What should you compare?
- Selected unit codes and groups
- Your learning priorities
- Actual elective availability
What remains unconfirmed?
The national options are checked. The provider elective selection, student choice and selected-unit assessment conditions are not known.
What can you do next?
Check whether any are included in your offer.
