What AQF level is this Certificate IV?
Certificate IV is AQF level 4.
What does this mean for a new leader?
A Certificate IV is at Australian Qualifications Framework level 4. The level describes the learning outcomes and complexity associated with the qualification. It is not an age limit, a measure of your worth or a fixed number of years you must have worked.
How can you prepare or compare?
Use the level alongside the course’s actual content when considering your next step. A higher number alone does not establish a better fit. Ask how the learning connects with the responsibilities you want to develop and the skills you already have.
What should you compare?
- Your starting point
- Written course conditions
- Questions still unanswered
What remains unconfirmed?
Personal course fit, provider admission and any further-study credit are not established by the national qualification record.
What can you do next?
Use level and content together when comparing courses.
